The 2024 Hong Kong International Printing and Packaging Fair was successfully held in May. This year’s fair reached a record scale, covering an exhibition area of over 25,000 square meters. It attracted more than 550 exhibitors from regions and countries including Mainland China, Hong Kong China, India, and Malaysia, and received over 60,000 professional buyers from 128 countries and regions worldwide. At the fair, the high-end customized gift box series highlighted by RISUN-PRINT became the focus. This series adopted environmentally friendly recycled paper as the base material, simulated genuine leather texture through the micro-embossing process, and incorporated a magnetic folding structure, achieving a dual breakthrough in “luxurious texture + low-carbon environmental protection”. Among the more than 300 merchants received on-site, over 40% reached preliminary cooperation intentions, with customers from Southeast Asia showing particularly prominent demand for customized food-grade packaging boxes. For customers in the luxury goods industry, RISUN-PRINT demonstrated a combined solution of laser engraving process and gold stamping technology, which successfully addressed the balance between anti-counterfeiting and aesthetics of high-end packaging and was recognized by a number of jewelry brands.
In terms of technological innovation, the digital proofing system exhibited by RISUN-PRINT sparked heated discussions in the industry. This system enables 3D real-time preview of packaging box design schemes, shortening the traditional proofing cycle from 7 days to 48 hours and significantly improving customization efficiency. At the industry forum held during the fair, the Technical Director of RISUN-PRINT delivered a keynote speech on “The Application of Environmental Protection Materials in Customized Packaging”, sharing innovative combination cases of bamboo fiber base materials and water-based coatings, which triggered enthusiastic discussions among the participants.
During the fair, buyers from Europe paid special attention to the compliance certification of recyclable gift box packaging. The FSC-certified paper packaging and degradable inner lining solutions demonstrated on-site by RISUN-PRINT met the latest EU environmental standards, leading to the immediate signing of 3 intent orders. This participation not only consolidated cooperation with existing customers but also opened up new market channels in regions such as the Middle East and Australia, laying a solid foundation for the growth of overseas business throughout the year.
